At the HealthTech Summit 2016 in Lausanne, Thomas Sutton  shared a framework for evaluating investments based on design criteria, applied to the opportunity, product, and company.

This reflects my belief that many #digitalhealth failures are due to bad design.  I don’t mean superficially bad design (which can be easily fixed, with the right partners), but rather the kind of bad design that comes from fundamentally misreading the problem to be solved.  Applying a robust design lens early in the process can filter out these kinds of deeply flawed solutions, allowing resources to be focussed on making the good stuff even better.

Happy to hear feedback on the model.
